The Big Bang model is a theory that tries to explain the evolution of the universe.
According to this theory, at some betwein ten and twenty billion years ago, all matter and e energy were compressed into a small ball only a few kilometers in diameter. It was, in effect, one atom that contained all the componentes of the entire universe in the form of pure energy.
