| | Hi Pia,
Well, that's not a standard procedure.
I think in this case, when we have a preference for certain translator to do the job, we should ask the translation in a private message.
It looks like we are benefiting someone by not allowing the request be available for any user to translate. See what I mean?
What you are doing is valid, however I'll ask you that next time you send the translation in private and just submit it when the translator is ready to post his/her work at the same time, ok? |

| | Pia,
I think I didn't make myself understood. You didn't do anything wrong, I'm just giving you a piece of advice for future requests.
It's very common that we prefer someone "special" to translate our texts, someone we trust.
The same happened yesterday with one of Xini's requests into English. He wrote in the remarks that he wanted "preferably" Tantine to do the job. I immediately set the request in standby and posted a PM to Tantine. She promised to take care of that today. That is acceptable in order to make things flow better and to avoid rejections by the requester later.
I've set this again in standby.
Don't worry, that's OK. |

Only to explain ...Maddie asked me in a pm today to do exactly the same as you did for Xini, to set it in stand-by, to make sure she get it when the English one is evaluated.
This recipe is for her, but I did wrong ..I know that. I'm learning all the time! |
