As is known, since September 11th, 2001, there have been attempts like "The Alliance of Civilizations", "Interfaith Dialogue" and many others which meant well, but did not end up going beyond beating a dead horse... But it seems that these attempts will remain fruitless, while the developments going on in the world today seem to just strengthen the arguments put forth in Samuel Huntingdon's "Clash of Civilizations"... Of course, the three big monotheistic religions being unable to lay their cards on the table is playing a big role in this. Here is that table and the cards:
