When I first met Nguyen, it was probably nine or ten weeks after he had arrived in Los Angeles, and he was feeling very lonely.He could speak very little English and he was in culture shock.He was working at the local greengrocer's and was living with a friend of mine, Cathy Kelly, in a big house with some other people , who needed housing.
