마지막 글 | | | | | 2008년 4월 13일 18:46 | | | Lakil, maybe it would sound better "I love LISTENING to the music...". What do you think? | | | 2008년 4월 13일 18:52 | | | I think maki has a point here.
The first sentence would read "lighter" if it was:
"I love listening to music, spending time with my friends..."
| | | 2008년 4월 14일 01:32 | | | No, I think it is fine.Present tense is used to describe things/stuff one loves to usually do..... Instead of hese commas, the author should have actually use points, but I left it the way I found it...Thanks for your imput. | | | 2008년 4월 14일 01:58 | | | Hi lakil, I think you misunderstood my suggestion.
I don't want you to change the verb tense "I love", of course we need a Simple Present here, what we are suggesting is using the present participles "listening" and "spending" after the verb love.
Verbs after: love, like, enjoy, etc usually take the -ing form when they refer to activities we care for.
It's a lot more common in English saying "I love listening to music" instead of "I love to listen to music".
Anyway I'm not saying your sentence isn't correct. |
