Op donderdag werd ik om 05.00 uur wakker. Eerst nam ik een douche en kleedde ik me aan en nadat ik een kopje koffie had gedronken, verliet ik eindelijk het huis.
Om de trein te nemen moest ik 10 minuten lopen en toen kwam de trein eindelijk.
Ik heb de trein genomen en ging naar het volgende station waar ik overstapte om naar mijn stageplaats te komen. Eindelijk kwam de trein; ik stapte in en kwam op mijn stageplaats aan, de reis duurde ongeveer 40 minuten. Eindelijk kon ik om 07.00 uur mijn werk hervatten.

On (this) Thursday I woke up at 5.00. First I had a shower and got dressed and after I had had a cup of coffee, I finally left the house.
To take the train I had to walk for 10 minutes and then the train arrived.
I took the train and went to the next station where I had to change (train) to get to the place of my internship. Finally the train arrived; I got in and arrived to the place of my internship, the journey took over 40 minutes. At 7.00 I could finally resume my work.
Is that ok?

That's ok. But,in order to be precisely I should note literal meanings here:
-'...the journey took about 40 minutes.'
-'...and the train finelly arrived.'
(actually, this sentence,the 3rd one, sounds a bit weird in the source text, as if there's a missing part.)
