And I'm happy it wasn't wrong, just sounded "old"
Hope now it's better, I'll reset the poll

| piasКількість повідомлень: 8113 | 'Jag ska sticka tillsammans med dig' is fine!!...but to say it in a more concise way.
Maybe just:
Jag kommer sticka med dig. |
| | 6 Листопада 2007 11:41 |
| XiniКількість повідомлень: 1655 | is ATT omitted in this case?
Just in writing or in spoken too? |
| | 6 Листопада 2007 12:03 |
| piasКількість повідомлень: 8113 | I think you could use ATT, but it's not necessary. I think that people when talking forget to say that ATT-word...but, in writing
maybe it's more correct as you suggested.
(I wish there was a swedish expert here who realy know) |
| | 6 Листопада 2007 12:04 |
| XiniКількість повідомлень: 1655 | Ok, since it's a song (-->poetry-like) I would use the written form.
You are my Swe expert pro-tempore. |

| XiniКількість повідомлень: 1655 | so at the end, the final version isn't that fare from mine:
Jag kommer att resa med dig
Jag kommer att sticka med dig

| | You should be aware that the word "sticka" (and therefore your swedish expression) is BY FAR NOT neutral, which I percieve the english translation to be (I do not understand the original language, unfortuanately). I would propose the following translation: Jag går härifrån tillsammans med dig |
| | 6 Листопада 2007 15:22 |
| piasКількість повідомлень: 8113 | Now I'm interrupting again
There is a point in what you are saying Piagabriella, It should be neutral, but..in the daily life I think (?) sticka is a neutral word(sticka och jobba, sticka och handla, sticka iväg på semester etc, etc) but maybe 'sticka' is to much a everyday expression, hm
your suggest 'Jag går härifrån tillsammans med dig' is good
or
Jag ska ge mig av tillsammans med dig. !? |

| vivienКількість повідомлень: 8 | There is nothing in the original text that has an attitude, but the swedish translation does. Not everyone would use "sticka", which is a slang word. |

| | Ok for me. But do you know that this is also a title for a song? It is translated into finnish by a name: this night....(Lucio Quarantotto, lyrics F. Sartori) I should think that the song is translated and recorded in swedish too, maybe it will be found from the net... |

| piasКількість повідомлень: 8113 | OK That was news you told Maribel.
Xini told it is lyrics for a song, but I did not know it was THIS song. Now I had googled this song and YES I know this song 'Time to say god bye'(beautiful bu the way)I found this swedish lyrics but I don't know if you can understand it Maribel, anyway I paste a link here. I think the swedish lyric is a bit different from the english.. I can't find a phrase that are similar to 'I will leave with you'...hm.

| MaggisКількість повідомлень: 14 | I´m not att all sure, but isn´t the "meaning" with the line more like they are going to be separated from each other? Like "when we leave each other" or am I totally wrong? I have allways thougth that its a sad song =) Maybee its not! Maggis |

| XiniКількість повідомлень: 1655 | So, the title and "incriminated" line are not translated. Anyway, the English version was just a "rhythmic version", not aliteral translation.
So what? |

| piasКількість повідомлень: 8113 | So, this text has nothing to do with the assumed song above: Con te partirò ? In that case I missunderstod maribel...sorry

| MattanКількість повідомлень: 33 | "sticka" is more slang, from the english and the italian languages it is better with "jag kommer att Ã¥ka iväg med dig" |

| XiniКількість повідомлень: 1655 | I'm rejecting my text since everybody has it's own version; better for you all to discuss and translate yourselves since I'll be busy in the next days |
