Hi Alex!

If I understand well the source says: "I love you, never forget it!", "it" being the fact that I love you.

In Romanian we have more ways to express it:
The most faithful to the Italian text is: "Te iubesc, nu uita asta niciodată! ("asta" means questo, used for neuter things, "nu uita" is imperative), or "Te iubesc, să nu uiţi asta niciodată! ("să nu uiţi" is subjunctive, but we use it with an imperative meaning also, sort of like the usual imperative).

Your translation means actually: "I love you, never forget him!" litterally.

You can pick the version you like better. In Romanian the order is also not rigid like in other languages, eg: "Te iubesc, niciodată să nu uiţi asta!" (we can put a negative adverb and then the negated verb, it's possible and correct).

OK, now I am waiting to see which option you'll choose. ^_^

Hi Freya!

Yes, the bridge is "I love you, never forget it!" indeed.

Since Romanian is very similar to Italian, I thought that the masculine pronoun of 3rd person could also act as a neuter pronoun, just like in my mother tongue. Well, this useful pattern you've just told me avoids ambiguities, while in Italian (it depends on the context) "lo" can be referred both to a male person and to a neuter thing.

ex. "Non l'ho dimenticato." > "I have not forgotten it/him."

But in this case there's no ambiguity: the person obviously must not forget the fact of being loved. So I choose your first suggestion: "Te iubesc, nu uita asta niciodată".

Multe mulţumiri, Freya!
