| | Hi aydin 1,
Any different option you want to suggest, must be placed in the remarks, not in the field of translation, OK?
About that 'title' you mention for a teacher...isn't there, in English, a title that matches the original?
Also, what do you mean by "restricted"? |
| | 6 May 2010 03:02 |
| | Sorry about notes in the text. I have seen the Turkish word "Hoja" used in English before, but I guess one could say "Professor." "Restricted" is maybe "off limits" or "unavailable."

| | OK. I'll change it into "unavailable" and set a poll. Perhaps other users can help us. I really don't understand that line |

| | Hello. I think it should be "sinirli" instead of "sınırlı" ( they have totally different meanings) in the original text because there are some other tiny errors in spelling in the text as well. In this case, the sentence will make more sense as "sinirli" means "angry". So the sentence should be changed as: "The only thing I fear is the time you are angry..." and the rest is fine I think. |

| | I think you may be right cheese
It makes a lot more sense.
sinirli = nervous, irritable, upset, pissed off, mad, etc.
sınırlı = limited, restricted, scarce, etc.
I guess we should edit the original before validating the translation |

| | Exactly
So the text should be:
Sevgili Neslihan hocam.

| | I've edited the original according to your suggestions, cheesecake.
aydin1,
Now, we've got to decide about the adjective we'll use.
Which one do you think fits better? |
| | 7 May 2010 03:31 |
| | "Upset" sounds best to me. |
| | 7 May 2010 09:30 |
| | "Tek korktuÄŸum ÅŸey sinirli olduÄŸunuz zaman." should translate like "The only thing I fear is when you become irritated." instead of "unavailable" |
