Title
THE STORMY NIGHT
Text to be translated
Submitted by ellasevia
Source language: English

The setting sun smiles sweetly on its perch in the sky.
The world lets out a quiet, lazy sigh.
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye,
Dark clouds begin gathering somewhere nearby.

With a sharp, shrill trill from the air,
And a rustle from the rest
Every creature is sent scurrying to its nest,
Hoping for the best.

Soon the tempest arrives,
Bringing the glittering pitter-patter of rain.
No living noise survives;
No need to explain.

Remarks about the translation
This is a poem that I wrote and I thought it would be nice if I could have it in Italian. It would be especially nice if it flowed smoothly when read, rhymed somewhat, and had other poetic devices in it such as alliteration. Thank you!
