What's this? I never heard from a thing like written there in german...

Maybe it's a "Fußband-Bindung"? - Is it for ski?

Francky, what did you change here? What did it say originally?

It was some of the many non existing words submitted to translation, the closest that was possible was the one suggested by Mr Rodrigues, above.

What did it say? I'm just wondering why someone translated it as "soccer binding" - did it originally say "Fußball"?

That's well possible! => Change it to "Fußball-Bindung" and it would match the english translation ;-)

There were a lot of misspelled letters and...

I don't me remember not more. I didn't know, that Francky would change it as fast as he did and without save the originally text somewhere.

I think the one who translated by "soccer binding" mixed up "Fußband" and "Fußball", it was translated AFTER I did the modification on the original text. I did it because Mr Rodrigues is a German native speaker, and as a German native speaker he never saw what was typed before in the German vocabular, and I trusted him, but about remembering what this word was before, you are asking too much to me, there are many, many texts I saw since I edited this one
So what was submitted before doesn't matter, you'll see it when the requester will have answered, as you asked her what was the "original" text.
I edited as an admin, I'm not an admin only for French texts, I'm here to edit at any time I see a notification about a text, and this isn't the only text I edited because it didn't mean anything according to native speakers'notifications.

Sorry, Francky - I was just curious. Maybe we should try to keep a record of edited originals just in case.

You are right it should be done, I just thought about the most proper place to record, and so why not in the comments field, or posted under the text, in the discussion area? This would avoid confusion sometimes.
