Ask me whatever you want about love If it will exist after us Ask me about the limits of the world About the hard things you want to know my love Just don't ask me If I would die for you The answer baby Is easy for me More than you imagine More than you are afraid of More than you dream of When you sleep in my arms I love you more than myself Ask me whatever you want about the moon And If it's going to come and get us one day Ask me if love endures To run in an arc around clouds
Remarks about the translation
-"it will exist" - IT goes for LOVE
-the word "τροχιά" in the last sentence should be translated into "orbit" but I find that the word "arc" sounds better...

Hi Chrysso

I wish my man would say those things to me !! Wow.

I'm glad you put capitals so I didn't get too lost.

I don't speak Greek so I'll poll the community.

The English is good, though poems and songs are hard to do sometimes.

I tinkered a bit with the translation since I am a world class tinkerer (mainly changing "ask me for" to "ask me about" )

I think it's a great one.

Just two notes (in other words two things I like so I didn't tinker with but maybe should be put in notes):

"φως μου", translated as "my love" actually means "my light". I would personally translate it so but that's my personal opinion.

The last sentence which is translated PERFECTLY is verbatim "Ask me if love endures To run in orbit around clouds". I wouldn't change it for the world in English (that arc thingy? Loved it to pieces) but I thought that this maybe actually a bridge translation in which case maybe a note should be put?

You know I often am nitpicking something awful so maybe I'm just going too far. If so, whoops, sorry!

Other than that, if I don't come on line soon enough feel free to accept it. Nice piece of work indeed.

Yes, you were right irini, it is a bridge translation, but I did not know how I should proceed with such a long translation, so I just asked for an English translation instead. No one helped me.
