Well, I think we will have to adapt it a bit. It sounds terrible in English.

What about:
"I am going to learn the English language, then just to defy you I am going to America and miss you greatly.
Although I will miss you, I am going to make my dreams come true."

Ok, I'll edit "that"s!

but, in the text he means to say "The one whom I will miss much will be just you", so ıf we say "I'll miss you greatly", will they have same sense?

"O" means "that".
He wants to say "I will learn to speak with you only this language not another.

Merdogan, did you mean to say "I will learn only English to speak with you." ??

pardon me but, there is not such a sentence that implies he wanna learn English to be able to speak with her or someone else. on the contrary, JUST TO DEFY THAT PERSON he wants to learn English for going to America.

hey I couldnt understand what you meant

Yes,he wants to learn only English because he thinks that to learn English is very difficult there for he wants to go America.
on the other side if somebody loves ,can make everthing.

Merdogan, I respect your experiences and knowledge, but we cannot translate any text according to our own ideas, knowledge, etc.
here in the text, there is not any information such as what you have counted. is there?

yes there is and it is "O".
if we translate as you did ,it is ok.
But the meaning isn't complate.I suppose we have to think why he used "O".if not ,it will be only a straight translation.I mean we also have to give in the worts the meaning of his feeling.

Merdogan, I also know that there is a word "O". but just because of that word you claim that ı should have written: "I will learn only English to speak with you." there is not such an information in the text!

Canım (Dear) handyy,
I thing that he is angry for himself because he can not speak English and he also says "I will learn this English in America". He wants to say that he will spend a lot of Money for learning English in America.
I didn't claim your legend .I only wanted to give some feeling.
at least you are better than me in English and I am very glad for this.

Dear Merdogan

Your claims may be true, but I couldn't write these in the translation. let's make a deal for this point, ok?

annnddd, if you try to say "handyy, you should decidedly use "that" or "this" there"... well, I translated as "that English", "that America", but Lilian, an English expert and maybe an English native speaker, said that it sounds very bad in English, so I deleted it.

consequently, what else can I do to give the meaning of "O" -- except for the information which doesn't exist in the text-- ??

and finally, thank you so much for your compliment, but believe me I am no better than anyone at .. I am still learning, and finding out new things about English day by day.

Dear handyy,
I beg your pardon but it is in text as "O Ä°ngilizce" and as " O Amerika".
As you say ,lilian is our English expert but she don't know Turkish, there for she puts in poll .
This is my last conception.
I also try to learn like everybody.

Hey guys! Calm down!

I have been reading attentively your thread and I feel we have to reach an agreement on that issue.

When I said that using "that English" and "that America" sounds bad in English I meant that it sounds like the speaker is scorning, desdaining about both English and America, and of course that can't sound well, don't you think?
The feeling is that he would be saying something like "I'm going to learn that (damned ) English and....going to that (infernal ) America..."

See what I mean?

You're quite right Lilian - I mean those "O"'s ("that"'s) CAN mean he/she is (a bit) angry to the English (perhaps because its difficult for him/her) and to America (perhaps because its the plase where he/she will be miss the person he/she is writing to.) So perhaps the 1st translation (before being edited; I actually havent seen it) CAN be correct? Maybe "O"'s sound softer than "that"'s - not as strong as "damned" or "infernal" - but still there CAN BE (and can be no) a hint of irritation.
