Listen to my heart
It follows the vision
It is capturing the place
Myself, I just don't know
Don't know in my heart
but the vision continues
It's impossible for me to tell
It's impossible for me to tell
Viðmerking um umsetingina
Not too sure if I got it totally right, my Irish is very basic and the text is very lyric.

Hi Bhatarsaigh

I should be ashamed of myself here as I am Irish by birth but do not speak a word of Gaelic (well one or two but I don't know how to write them).

I must admit that I heve never even been to Ireland!!

You live in Britain now, right? And have never been to Ireland?

Yes, I think you should be ashamed

It's just that some of the words aren't translated properly. Also, it is translated very directly, so a lot of the phrases don't really make sense in Irish. It's close enough though.

Hi Aoife

I have a feeling that you have evaluated the wrong way round, by which I mean, you are basing yourself on the English text in order to check out the Irish one. Am I right?

The original text (the "source text" is the one that is written in Irish. The translation that has been done is into English (the target language), so I need to know if the English phrases are a loyal translation from the Irish.

Its a bit confusing at first, but you'll get used to the jargon after a few visits

Thanks for helping and welcome to cucumis Hope you enjoy it on here.
