| | I think that a note saying that "the new one" is female might be useful. |

| | Merdogan,
Almanca orijinal metinden mi bahsediyorsunuz? Eğer öyleyse, hayır değişmedi, ben de pek Almanca'dan anlıyor sayılmam ama gördüğüm kadarıyla aynı. Eğer Türkçe çeviriden bahsediyorsanız onu ben değiştirdim biraz.
Hi kafetzou,
Thank you for your information. Now, it is difficult to translate this text into English without knowing "the new one" because it doesn't make sense. Can we say here "Hopefully it was nice with your new girlfriend" ? If yes, I will change the translation and it will be better. |

| | It's not clear from the original whether it's a new girl or something else feminine that's new, because German gives all nouns a gender, so it could even be a new job or a new trip.
It would be best if you could translate it in such a way that it is not clear in Turkish either. I don't know if it's possible, though. It seems to me that "yenisi" cannot be a person. Am I right? |

| | Dear friends,
"mit der Neuen" comes from "die Neue ,feminine " and we mostly use the adjective "schön= güzel" for (with)a girl.
Therefore it is a person (a girl).

| | Effendim? I didn't understand what you meant, merdogan. |

| | Dear kafetozu,
As you know, in German text there is "mit der Neuen" and it comes from " die Neue" and it is feminine (mostly).
And Line 2
"Hoffentlich war es schön mit der Neuen."
What I understood from this line ,somebody had a relationship with a girl. Therefore another person (also a girl) says to him "it was nice with the new one (new girl)". |

| | Yes, I agree that that is likely, but it is not absolutely certain.
It could be "mit der neuen Arbeitstelle" oder "mit der neuen Reise" oder "mit der neuen Wohnung".
If you use "yenisiyle", can it mean both a person and a thing? |
| | 21 Joulukuu 2010 10:44 |
| | Yes of course, but in this case we have to use type (name) of it like "mit der neuen Arbeitstelle".
Can we blame someone for an object that he/she is a liar? |
| | 21 Joulukuu 2010 19:45 |
| | If we use "yenisiyle" it would be weird. Because in Turkish, we never say "Umarım yenisiyle güzel olmuştur" etc. We need to indicate an object here, like "Yeni ... ile güzel olmuştur." I sent a message to beyaz-yildiz, but I didn't get any answer. So, I think it's time to get help from a German expert.
Hi nevena-77,
Sorry for asking you too much, but I really need some help for German translations.
Here, could you tell us what this "der Neuen" means? A new girlfriend or something like that? It's important for us to improve the Turkish translation. Thanks in advance. CC: nevena-77 |

| | Calm down, merdogan. It's important not to jump to conclusions here. Let's make sure that our understanding of the original German is correct before we mistranslate it. I agree with Bilge that the right thing to do is to ask a German expert.
iamfromaustria, what do you think? |

| | Merdogan,
Size katılıyorum, ben de o şekilde düşünüyorum ama emin olmadan değiştirmesek daha iyi olur. Bu çeviri bu şekilde kalmaz zaten emin olabilirsiniz, çok manasız görünüyor Uzmanlardan cevap gelsin, düşündüğümüz gibiyse, o şekilde değiştirip onaylarız. |
