The (Mt.) Hermon area is divided between Lebanon, Syria, and Israel. The peak of the mountain is 2814 meters above sea level and is situated on the border between Syria and Lebanon, about 14 Km. North East of the Israeli positions on the mountain. small correction: I would say Israeli military outposts, not 'positions', and keep the original Hebrew name "Mitzpe Shlagim", since it is a place name.
This is indeed the intention but still, the name Israeli Military outposts is not mentioned in the Hebrew, only positions is used. It might be useful to place a note in the bottom to explain this, but it is not a part of the original Hebrew.
