Is there really a big difference between "person" and "human being"?

I agree with Efylove, Alex.
"Homo" means here first of all that you are a weak creature, only a "human being" (mortal creature).
A "person" can refer also to God, who is immortal and powerful. So, a "person" doesn't really convey the meaning of the sentence.
