Poslednja poruka | | | | | 25 Oktobar 2007 08:52 | | | pink pain, i dont really understand the english phrase, but anyway, where did "fe3lan" come from? i dont think there is a "fe3lan" in the english form, i think i need somebodys help on what the english form means CC: IanMegill2 kafetzou | | | 25 Oktobar 2007 13:20 | | | Hi elmota! It's nice to see you again.
I don't understand the English original either.
What is the word "already" doing in the sentence?
I don't think the requester is a native speaker of English. It would be better if she submitted her request in Portuguese and let us do the translating. If she doesn't respond to this note within a few days, we should send her one directly to her in-box. Do you want to take care of this, Elmota?
Also, I think the requester means it is the language of her ancestors, not her descendants! | | | 25 Oktobar 2007 14:10 | | | Hi
I was reading the messages and I think I really can not explain the meaning of the sentence. In Portuguese it would be "Eu já quis parar o tempo" but in English, I think it would have more meaning only "I wanted to stop the moment."
I hope that helps a little to clarify the real meaning of the sentence.
And sorry for the mistake, it is the language of my ancestors and not for my descendants :P
Thank you again!
;D | | | 26 Oktobar 2007 00:22 | | | casper, thatha, can you help me with understanding what she meant here? I realize the translation wasn't submitted correctly, but I think we can work with what she wrote above. CC: casper tavernello thathavieira | | | 26 Oktobar 2007 00:52 | | | What the girl wants is something like "once I dared to stop the time" or even "I wish I could've stopped the time".
I can't express myself here. | | | 26 Oktobar 2007 13:30 | | | Hmm. Those two are pretty different in English. Thanks for trying! Any suggestions for someone who is a native speaker of English but translates from Portuguese?
| | | 26 Oktobar 2007 14:09 | | | It's a hard phrase. It's a little too Brasilian-like, I guess.
Maybe Una could help. CC: Una Smith |
