That's a nice translation, you just misunderstood the beginning. The writer is referring to a third person, he is not addressing the speech to the person, so the first line should read:
"She deserves a kiss and a huge hug because she is:"
There are other minor suggestions I'd like to give.

The reason for suggesting 'fuss over' instead of 'cuddle' is because it conveys the meaning of the Spanish "mimar" better.
"cuddle" gives the idea of 'embracing' (what is not wrong), but 'mimar' is also 'spoil','satisfy the person's likes, wishes, etc'.
See what I mean?
