Coming back from the Buddhist funeral of his late father Dazai Kenji (magistrate of the Dazaifu area), Minamoto Toshiyori, a poet of the 12th century, saw a Biwa hÅshi (a blind Buddhist monk traveling in the city of Biwa) while coming through Chikuzen Ashiya (currently Ashiya in the Fukuoka prefecture) and he wrote the following poem:

- Looks like “Dazai†is a title. Hence I put Dazai in front of the name Kenji. - 'magistrate' of the Dazaifu area: we are not sure. It could also be 'Dazaifu Deputy Secretary'

-Les adjectifs sont invariables en anglais: "Buddhist" et non "Buddhists" (outre le fait que le terme soit au singulier)
-"late" n'est pas dans le texte original ni dans la traduction française, et n'est pas indispensable en anglais. Perso je ne le garderais pas mais c'est au choix.
