| | I shall try when I have time. The text is about INTEL motherboards, so I can't translate it at once. Sorry...
But, may be, we'll help you together - sentence after the sentence
So, the first is:
"Besides, it is can be said that all Intel motherboards are suffering from terrific quality"
(= motherboards are of bad quality) |
| | 27 Agosti 2007 09:58 |
| | Take it easy, ramarren! . And thanks for you efforts. |
| | 27 Agosti 2007 13:20 |
| | Systran-box bridge :
"In principle, it is possible to say that all [maternskie] pays Of intel suffer from the [uzhastnogo] quality. On the work they cost 2 [servaka], there are 2 identical armor. To both defects of the arrangement of the joints of the memory (curvedly they stand). The pair of pays recently [podokhli] it is unknown from what almost during one day, afterward I " beat†relief, who ordered them because of the cheapness."
Bon courage! (lol!)

Well, thank you for your trust, as a reward for your belief in me I shall translate all the text
So, here it is all:
"Besides, it is can be said that all Intel motherboards are suffering from terrific quality. We have two servers at workplace, and those servers have two similar cardboards, and both of the boards have defects of memory interface connectors (they are placed in invalide way). A pair of the boards ceased to work not long ago, in the same day and for unknown reason, so then I had to beat ["beat" - it is not in straight meaning, but very close to it =))) ] collegue, which ordered them because they were cheap." |

| | Thanks, ramarren!
How couldn't I trust an expert?
|
| | 28 Agosti 2007 10:53 |
| | Well, you know, as it's said "the man is considere to be wrong", even experts can make mistakes :P |
| | 28 Agosti 2007 10:53 |
| | |
| | 28 Agosti 2007 10:57 |
| | This is the two faces of the coin of being an expert: we really do mistakes, but other people think we don't! |

| | Hi everyone. I have one doubt about the word 'cardboard' referring to computer stuff. I've never seen this before.
Anybody? |
| | 29 Agosti 2007 18:00 |
| | I googled it and the only thing I could find was
cardboard boxes . But I never heard "cardboard" as a computer term... |
| | 29 Agosti 2007 18:19 |
| | Casper and Francky,
I think that ramarren is not well used with computer terminology. The word he used couldn't be the more suitable in English, but I thought I got barely what he meant -> a larger board where peripheral boards fit.
Researching further, I found that "лат" (pl. "латы" means "armour". Therefore, now I guess that the best choice is translate as "gabinete" (case). I'll edit it.

| | And makes much more sense. |
| | 29 Agosti 2007 18:31 |
| | Oh yes, I think it is fine this way! |
| | 30 Agosti 2007 04:26 |
| | No, not "латы", but "Платы"
From vocabulary:
плата
card, cardboard, deck, fee, panel, plane, plate, price, sheet
But, as I just learnt, "cardboard" is more used in mechanics, so, may be, it would be better to use just "card" or "plane"? In Russian "платÐ" (singular, "платЫ" is numeral) is "a panel on which various electronic equipment is placed". |
| | 30 Agosti 2007 12:35 |
| | Just like a case, Ramarren? |
| | 31 Agosti 2007 04:27 |
| | Not case. Plane, panel, sheet, deck... |
