In my opinion, they are not just ordinary friends, there is a sincere love and respect between them, that's why they call each other as "kardeÅŸim" - this addressing isn't related with their ages, it makes their friendship -how can I say- more meaningful. Well, of course Im not so sure, I'm just guessing it
