They will search further, why this way all books of the Old Testament, that belong to the canon, are not called prophetical. Because these ones are prophetical, that were written by prophets; for Esdras improved all books of the Old Testament, when the law was lost, because he is just a prophet and did it in a prophetical way.

Aneta, I would like to hear your opinion on the following "corrections" from somebody who is not an expert, obviously:

"It is being asked further, why in this fashion all books of the Old Testament, which belong to the canon, are not called prophetical. Seeing that those are prophetical that were written by prophets; for Esra restored all the books of the Old Testament when the law was lost, and he himself was a prophet and did it in a prophetical manner".

Well, why doesn't s/he ask me by him/herself? Is it a member of ?

How you can see, the translations are similar and the meaning is almost the same.

The beginning "Quaeretur ulterius" could be translated in more ways. I think that possible version is also: "It should/could be searched/asked further" (the exression in Latin is unpersonal - subject is not known)

I don't know why the person typed "in this fashion"
"hoc modo" - thus, in this way.

"for Esra restored" is also possible I guess, though I am not sure either "Esra" is a good tranlation of the biblical name...

Oh, now I see the source of the misunderstanding. The "somebody" is me, of course, nobody else. I apologize for the unfortunate formulation

Hi Aneta!
So, the translation is very good! Just two ideas:
- maybe "quaeretur" = "they will search" (isn't it a future?) or "it will be searched"
- "this way" --> "in this way"

Yes, I agree with you Efee. Thank you for your help.

Maybe it would be better: "it will be searched further"
I mean "further" instead of "more" just as Jair suggested before? What do you think, Efee?

"Further" is better, I think.
