"I miss you" -> present simple.
"Te extrañé" is a past form, so it has to be "Te extraño".

Seni özledim is in the past, in the present it would be seni özlüyorum.

Why was the English translation into Simple Present accepted, if it should have been "I missed you", instead?

Creo que es ''te extraño Güney''... Porque el verbo ''to miss'' no está en pasado y lo está tomando como si lo estubiera, por otro lado no esta tomando en cuenta el acento si asi fuera. ''TE EXTRAÑÉ GüNEY'' sería I missed you Güney...

Falta ortográfica en "estrañé" (debe ir con tilde).

I don't think "estrañé" is correct, so I didn't change anything, and the tilde is here.

Si el verbo está en pasado (entonces,la versión en INGLÉS está ERRADA), lo correcto es:
"Te extrañé Güney" (con tilde, sí.)
