My darling, you know that I would do everything for you and no matter how hard it might get, I will always be there for you. You make me happy, make me laugh and you are there when I need you. I love you from the bottom of my heart and with all my soul | Remarks about the translation | mein Herz means my heart, but I do not know if that is said in english. The last sentence sounds a bit ackward to me and I do not know if it is correct, but this is what it says in german. I do not know if they say it differently in english. The expert can adjust it when needed. |

The English looks great, just the last sentence is a bit weird.
"I love you with all my heart and from my deepest soul. "
The most common way to put the expression in English would be:
"I love you from the bottom of my heart and with all my soul."
Would that convey the original? | | | 22 June 2008 17:56 | | | I just found this translation by accident and I can only support your suggestion for the last sentence, Lily.
I only have one little point, you could change. In the first sentence, I would say something like "... I would do everything for you and no matter how hard it might get ,...". What do you think? | | | 22 June 2008 18:34 | | | Hi Heidrun,
You know I don't read German, so I don't know what the original says. Since the line in English sounds fine, I couldn't have corrected it. Just at the poll someone will say if it really conveys the original.
I'm just waiting for Nathan's correction of the last line to set a poll.
Perhaps before that he already will have taken your suggestion into account.
Thanks for your input. | | | 22 June 2008 18:40 | | | Yes, I know, I just didn't want to wait for the poll. The correction is not a big thing anyway, just a matter of tone maybe. So, if you want to, you could change it, Nathan | | | 22 June 2008 18:51 | | kfetoNumber of messages: 953 | hi nathan
misschien "with all my heart and from the depths of my soul" | | | 22 June 2008 19:39 | | | Yes, that is why I said I thought it was a weird sentence! I am open for all possible translations. I know I am wrong with it, because I do not know how they express this in English, this is why I've just translated it litterally! =)
