Is the verb conjugated here, Anita?

well.... yes, since the infinitive form would be "at svømme". However, there is no subject but I suppose it can be translated as it is (swimming alone).

Problem is when this text will be requested into other languages and the infinitive translated, which we don't want, as we do not consider infinitives as conjugated forms from a verb (infinitives are findable in dictionaries).

So it would be fine to add a subject (eg : "Jeg svømmer alene"

Is that the correct way it reads in Danish?

Thanks a lot!

but Francky, the verb IS conjugated...

However, if you think it is necessary to add a subject, then yes, "jeg svømmer alene" is correct.

I'm afraid actually another user submits a request from this text into another language, and then it will be translated at the infinitive form, as this gerundive can also be interpreted as "action of swimming" (without a subject, thus without the verb to be conjugated) eg : into French, it will give : "nager seul" Translation will be correct and the infinitive used. Adding the subject does that there is no ambiguity at all : verb is conjugated.

This is why I'll add the subject in this text.

Thanks for your reply!
