Я тоже надеюсь, что еще несколько раз увидимся. Кстати, ты же сказала, что ты визажист. Можно ли у тебя термин взять и посмотреть какие цвета и так далее мне идут? Потому что я вообще не разбираюсь в этом.

I also hope that we‘ll still see each other several times. By the way, you have said that you are a make-up artist. May I have an appointment with you and see what colours, etc. suit me? Because I don’t understand about that at all.

I've mentioned to Francky that I don't understand the word "termin" in this request. Literally it should be translated as "term" and the speaker wants to take/borrow this.

It was translated here as "May I have an appointment with you", though word by word it is "May I take your term or term from you".

CAn't tell is it right or wrong as I don't understand it.

@ - Siberia Maybe I shouldn't have left this text be translated; we should ask the translator to tell why she translated by " May I have an appointment with you ".

@ - jolitaja2, could you tell us, please? This is in order to evaluate your translation.

Thanks, best regards,

Good morning everyone,

if you consult the links below, you will understand that the word "term " is not used in that sense. I guess this is a translation from German "Termin". And in English it is "appointment"

Thank you.
Have a nice day!

It seems that the word 'termin' is misused in the russian article. As far as I'm concerned threre is no such a term as 'termin' in make-up artist subject. I've been talking about the issue with a visagist who has just finished studying and has fresh knowledge. However, the word might imply 'appointment', 'samples' or even 'basic rules'...
I'd say that possible translation mistake is not translator's fault and the translation should be approved with decent notes attached to it.

What about:

"May I have your opinion about the colors, etc that suit me? Because I don't know anything about this at all." ?

If we take out "an appointment," we'll lose the meaning of "meeting" in this text.

This translation is to be validated, about the remarks it would be fine if one of the experts (of the source or the target language) could leave one note telling "termin" isn't used in Russian, and consequently the requester will have to deal with the meaning the translator gave.

Anyway this is a "meaning only" translation request.

This is my fault, I should not have released this request, but the translator's work is still valuable and jolitaja2 still deserves the points for the translation

Thanks for your inputs -in chronologic order- Siberia, ViaL., jolitaja2, janaina777 and Lilian!

Since the requester speaks English, he must have understood all the comments so I'll accept the translation the way it is. There's no need for remarks.
Besides, this is one of those cases of "submit and forget". The requester never logged in again.

Thanks everyone
