I don't know Spanish I'm afraid, not well enough, but the "a que te dedicas?" should not be translated so if I am not mistaken since the meaning of the phrase sort of varies within context (I think).

Anyway, it is a very, very akward question to ask in English

a que te dedicas ? is the same to say: what do you do in your life ?
