The translation below in Brazilian Poruguese - German - English, will explain my evaluation:
"homens" (Brazilian Poruguese) = "Männer" (German) = "men" (English)..!
In addition: "Menschen" (German) = "gente" (Brazilian Portuguese) = people (English)..!

This is a song called Monte Castelo, from Legião Urbana, there's some changes about the original text, that's in 1 Corithians 13:1 | | | 2007년 6월 26일 12:42 | | | Olá...Hello
Rodrigues, you are right when you thought that "men" are meaning "all the human being - men and women".
As Thatha said, it's from a bible text, then I understand "men" as "mundane beings not celestial like the angels"
But I don't know if there is a better way to say that in german, and I think Figge only considered the literal meaning.
I'd like to help, but my german doesn't.... | | | 2007년 6월 26일 13:31 | | | then, "Menschen" is better as "Männer", because "Männer" is only masculine persons (men)... |
