Hi Pia!

I understood that differently.
My suggestion would be:

"Love overcomes everything, so let's conquer love."

What do you think?

Hi Lilly!
Your first sense sounds like a good proposal.
But the last is not correct I think, since this is about that they want to be beaten or conquered by love, not the opposite.

Do you think a passive voice suits here?

I refer to the "be beaten by love"
It's a passive voice. What I understood is that s/he suggests to "find" love (active attitude) not to "let love find them". I felt an attitude of searching and "be beaten by love" sounds to me like an attitude of "waiting for love to beat us".(passive attitude)

Crazy, isn't it? Sometimes we have an impression and it turns out a different thing!

No...this is NOT how I read the source. Sorry, but I can't agree with you here. It doesn't "say" that someone try to find love (active) I think. The meaning is moore like: "Love conquers/overcomes all, so let the love win over us, let the love conquer us".
Did you get that "try" to explain Lilly?

Is it better to write:
"Love overcomes everything, so let's be conquered by love."

Ok Pia!
As I said each one has a different feeling concerning love!

We, Latins are more "active" I think, we always want to "do it ourselves", hahaha.

Hahaha... you funny girl.
But the thing is that I don't think that we shall interpret the meaning of the source that isn't even written, just translate the text as cloose as we can.

Am I wrong about it?

Pias, you're right, but the original phrase was written by Virgil:

la Amor omnia vincit, et nos cedamus amori

en Love conquers all (things), (so) let us (too) surrender/ yield to love.
sv Kärleken övervinner allt, (så) låtom oss besegras av kärleken.

I believe that you both are right that the translation can be better, beaten sounds more like to be in a fight or something...stupid! So, I try to just change the words "be beaten by the" to "surrender to"

Thank you both Lilly and pirulito!
