As for hurting me, I think that sounds better than 'I am hurting myself', Merdogan. 'I am hurting myself' is when I cut myself deliberately, or in any other way deliberately cause myself physical pain. 'I am hurting' would be a possibility but it looks like I am hurting because of what is happening, so it is hurting me. (even if that is not what the words literally are)
