Title
Text
Submitted by Tantine
Source language: Frans

Remarks about the translation

Title
The Spring Goddess
Translation
Engels

Translated by Tantine
Target language: Engels

There are not yet any violets
And the air is still quite fresh
The Day Star gleams on the snowy hill
The frost, gently, loosens its mesh

There are not yet any violets
And the winds brings forth the rain
The Day Star glints at the break of dawn
On the night's crystal remains

There are not yet any violets
But their leaves rise from the ground
The grass awakes, and stems appear
And greener the soil is found

There are not yet any violets
But the blackberries are in bud
The crocus blooms, the bird's in song,
The days have lengthened as they should.

There are not yet any violets
But the promise to be found
In each one of Her other signs
Is "Winter is uncrowned".

There are not yet any violets
But let us plait a crown and sing
To welcome the green princess,
Our Mother, the Goddess of Spring
Remarks about the translation
Thanks to LillianCanale for some "crystal clear" suggestions :).

This is my own translation of my French poem so can be used as an "original".

As it is a poem, please take into account the poetic licence used to make it rhyme and create a correct metric.

There is not yet violets
And the substance of the air is fresh
The Astre gleams in the snow in front
The freeze, slowly, disappears.

There is not yet violets
And the winds bring rain
The Sun shines, in the morning,
Of the rigors of the night.

There is not yet violets
But their leaves emerge from the earth
Herbs awake, stems elongate
The soil becomes more green.

There is not yet violets
But roncier buds
The crocuses out, the birds sing
The days are longer

There is not yet violets
But the promise
In each of his other signs
Eastern's Winter loses "

There is not yet violets
But the crown tressons
To accommodate the princess Green
The Goddess of Spring
