You and LLOYD FC are in a bid contention. I will accept in one of two conditions. If one of you manages to hold his bid for 48 hours and there isn't a higher bid from the other. Or if one of you uses credits+money, then I will accept after 24 hours. -LBA

Isn't there another word to use instead of "struggle"? Maybe : competition or contention.
"If One of you can manage to hold one's bid in 48 hours without higher bid from the other."
would read better:
"If one of you manages to hold his bid for 48 hours and there isn't a higher bid from the other."
What do you think?

Yes ... bid contention sounds good to me, I couldn't find another word than "struggle" myself.
Your last proposal is also good, but are you sure that this is between two male? ("his bid..." ) or is it the way you write in English when gender is "unknown"? | | | 19 June 2008 20:25 | | | Well...supporters of feminism don't like it, but the "neutral" possessive is "his".
But you can also write "his/her". | | | 19 June 2008 20:24 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Ok!
I'll edit noow. |
