I admit "habitus" and "habit" are false friends of translator and that mislead me I found an article in Wikipedia about crystal habits.

Research can refer to one or more studies. Would you prefer 'studies' instead?

enabled the extraction --> enable to obtain
rarely found --> extremely rarely found
as well as investigation of their habits --> as well as research their habits (just to match "to obtain" at the begining)
