I did it because I received it as a request for translation. It seems I misunderstood it. Why is it important?

I was just thanking you for doing the translation for me. I'm not sure how you received it as a translation request.

"od posljedica infarkta" is translated as "after having had a coronary," but it should be"died in Niš on Sunday of (or from) a stroke.."

Dont you just say simply "Heart attack"? Just an idea, maybe I'm wrong.

A heart attack is a coronary, but a stroke is different - it's in the brain, not the heart.

I don't work in the medical field, but in general, a stroke is considered to be caused by a blood clot to the brain, and a heart attack is a coronary infarction.

Both, stroke and heart attack are caused by blood clots....I suggest you do a little bit more of research on this subject. But, do as you please..Have a good one...:-)

That may be, but a stroke is in the brain, and a heart attack is in the heart - those are very different places!

BTW, it's a clot, not a cloth!

Here's what Wikipedia says:

"A heart attack, known in medicine as an (acute) myocardial infarction (AMI or MI), occurs when the blood supply to part of the heart is interrupted. This is most commonly due to occlusion (blockage) of a coronary artery following the rupture of a vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque, which is an unstable collection of lipids (like cholesterol) and white blood cells (especially macrophages) in the wall of an artery. The resulting ischemia (restriction in blood supply) and oxygen shortage, if left untreated for a sufficient period, can cause damage and/or death (infarction) of heart muscle tissue (myocardium)."

There's nothing about a blood clot. There - I did my research, as you suggested. Now it's your turn.

Thank you for "copying" your information for me. You should not have..:-) I already know the subject, however I still maintain that the translation in that respect is wrong. Thanks.

Was the problem in his brain or in his heart, lakil?

As far as I know, "infarkt" always means "a heart attack". The problem was in his heart, not his brain. He died of a heart attack. At least that's was reported in the media. Even if the word "coronary" is not used so often to explain a "heart attack" it does not mean it was incorrect.

I agree that it was not incorrect. I changed it to heart attack because that's the more common term in English. But I'm wondering why lakil still insists it was a stroke.
