Merhaba User10,
'επικηρυγμένη' ne anlama geliyor ?

Eğer doğru anladıysam, cümlenin şöyle başlaması gerekiyor ''Bil ki hayatımda...''. Değil mi ?

Merhaba Hazal

'επικηρυγμένη' aşağıdaki anlama gelir:
"PROSCRIBED, civil law. (Among the Romans), a man was said to be proscribed when a reward was offered for his head; but the term was more usually applied to those who were sentenced to some punishment which carried with it the consequences of civil death. Code, 9; 49." (The Free Dictionary, legal def.)

Cümle, Haris Aleksiu'nun söylediği "Eleni" adlı şarkıdan (biraz değiştirilip,şarkıda:η ζωή Σου)alınmış olduğunu sanıyorum.Fransızca'da "Ma (şarkıda:Ta) vie, sache le,est proscrite" anlamına gelir.Ben Fransızca bilmem,şarkının Fransızca çevirisi internette buldum.(ingil."My life is proscribed, be aware of that"

(sorry handyy for taking so long to answer)

My life,(for you) to know is an outlaw.

both user10's and hazal44's translations seem absolutely correct to me:
My life is proscribed, be aware of that/Sache que ma vie est proscrite

Did I help you people or is there any difference of opinion I dont get?

Γεια σου, reggina

We tried to find a word that would carry the meaning of "someone who has been declared an outlaw WITH a reward offered for the(his/her) capture" (legal definition of "proscribe", επικηρυγμένος-η-ο).

Maybe we should use "yasaklanmış" (απαγορευμένη, "proscribed",common use) as Hazal has proposed and give a note with the exact meaning of "επικηρυγμένη".

Thank you so much Reggina! ...but please let me be sure out of the meaning of "επικηρυγμένη".

Does "επικηρυγμένη" have such a meaning as "offering a reward for one's head" as User10 suggested? As far as I know, "outlaw" or "proscribe" don't have this meaning, but as I already said, I just wanted to be sure.

"επικηρυγμένος" is not a verb but an adjective which describes someone whos "wanted" -I am not sure but I dont believe that is always for a reward but thats usually the case-
This is usually by police/governement/gangs etc
thats why I suggested proscribe/outlaw

lets ask irini as well!

Δεν είμαι απόλυτα σίγουρη αν το επικυρήσσω αφορά πάντα χρηματικό ποσό ή μπορεί και να χρησιμοποιηθεί και με την έννοια του "ζητείται" -όπως δηλώνουν και τα outlaw kai proscribed

Yes and no.
It's "official" meaning is that of "wanted, reward offered". However, in this context (and many others) the meaning is "wanted and on the run, hunted down" so to speak.

The "official" one for "wanted" is "καταζητούμενος". Remember though that this is a verse from a song and "καταζητούμενη" just doesn't scan
