'επικηÏυγμÎνη' ne anlama geliyor ?
EÄŸer doÄŸru anladıysam, cümlenin şöyle baÅŸlaması gerekiyor ''Bil ki hayatımda...''. DeÄŸil mi ? | | | 7 جولای 2009 16:53 | | | Merhaba Hazal
'επικηÏυγμÎνη' aÅŸağıdaki anlama gelir:
"PROSCRIBED, civil law. (Among the Romans), a man was said to be proscribed when a reward was offered for his head; but the term was more usually applied to those who were sentenced to some punishment which carried with it the consequences of civil death. Code, 9; 49." (The Free Dictionary, legal def.)
Cümle, Haris Aleksiu'nun söylediği "Eleni" adlı şarkıdan (biraz değiştirilip,şarkıda:η ζωή Σου)alınmış olduğunu sanıyorum.Fransızca'da "Ma (şarkıda:Ta) vie, sache le,est proscrite" anlamına gelir.Ben Fransızca bilmem,şarkının Fransızca çevirisi internette buldum.(ingil."My life is proscribed, be aware of that"
| | | 15 آگوست 2009 14:48 | | | Hi
could any of you help us here with this one, please?
Thanks in advance! CC: reggina irini Mideia | | | 20 آگوست 2009 12:03 | | | (sorry handyy for taking so long to answer)
My life,(for you) to know is an outlaw.
both user10's and hazal44's translations seem absolutely correct to me:
My life is proscribed, be aware of that/Sache que ma vie est proscrite
Did I help you people or is there any difference of opinion I dont get?

We tried to find a word that would carry the meaning of "someone who has been declared an outlaw WITH a reward offered for the(his/her) capture" (legal definition of "proscribe", επικηÏυγμÎνος-η-ο).
Maybe we should use "yasaklanmış" (απαγοÏευμÎνη, "proscribed",common use) as Hazal has proposed and give a note with the exact meaning of "επικηÏυγμÎνη". | | | 22 آگوست 2009 20:56 | | | Thank you so much Reggina! ...but please let me be sure out of the meaning of "επικηÏυγμÎνη".
Does "επικηÏυγμÎνη" have such a meaning as "offering a reward for one's head" as User10 suggested? As far as I know, "outlaw" or "proscribe" don't have this meaning, but as I already said, I just wanted to be sure. | | | 22 آگوست 2009 21:43 | | | "επικηÏυγμÎνος" is not a verb but an adjective which describes someone whos "wanted" -I am not sure but I dont believe that is always for a reward but thats usually the case-
This is usually by police/governement/gangs etc
thats why I suggested proscribe/outlaw
lets ask irini as well!
Δεν είμαι απόλυτα σίγουÏη αν το επικυÏήσσω αφοÏά πάντα χÏηματικό ποσό ή μποÏεί και να χÏησιμοποιηθεί και με την Îννοια του "ζητείται" -όπως δηλώνουν και τα outlaw kai proscribed
CC: irini | | | 23 آگوست 2009 05:38 | | | Yes and no.
It's "official" meaning is that of "wanted, reward offered". However, in this context (and many others) the meaning is "wanted and on the run, hunted down" so to speak.
The "official" one for "wanted" is "καταζητοÏμενος". Remember though that this is a verse from a song and "καταζητοÏμενη" just doesn't scan | | | 24 آگوست 2009 15:19 | | | Thank you all girls, now I am sure of what to do with this translation. |
