forumda ve sizin yayın akışınızda yazan SON BÖLÜM yazısından sonra dizinin kaldırılacagını farkettim,acaba kesin dogru mu yoksa yanlış anlaşılma mı var? bu kadar tututan bir dizi neden kaldırılıyor eğer dogruysa? youtube'da izlenme oranlarına bakılsa bile ne kadar izlendiği kolayca anlaşılabilir..Saygılarla..Bilgilendirilmek istiyorum
Remarks about the translation
tututan = tutulan

Target language: English

After the expression 'LAST EPISODE' written at the forum and your broadcast streaming, I realized that the TV series would be discontinued. I wonder whether it is true, indeed, or there is a misunderstanding. In case of being true, how can such a popular TV series be discontinued? Even by looking at the ratings at Youtube, it could easily be understood how many times it was watched.. Sincerely.. I want to be informed
Remarks about the translation
"'Son bölüm' yazısı"---yazı diyince akla uzun bir metin gelir, oysa "son bölüm" sadece bir ibaredir. o yüzden modamod çevirip "yazı" için "writing" demektense "expression" demeyi tercih ettim. --handyy--

Hi Handyy,

Just some adjustments in the middle paragraph:

" I wonder whether it is true, indeed, or there is a misunderstanding. In case of being true,... how can such a popular TV series be lifted? "

What do you think?

Thank you for the comments, but I think it can be used. Yet it's better to wait for Lilian's answer

I would use "discontinued".
In the TV environment, it is the usual verb people use.

I didn't say it was wrong, it just was not the most appropriate verb to be used since it may be misunderstood.
"to lift" in the sense of "stop", has two uses
1- "to revoke by taking back", in a sentence like:
"The censorship applied to some scenes was lifted" it means that something is no longer censored.
2- "to stop temporarily" and I think in this case the text means that the series will not be broadcasted anymore, not just supended.
