最近发帖 | | | | | 2011年 二月 8日 11:24 | | | Hi Lilian and Donna!
I was crushing my mind ever since I translated this text, months ago. It actually doesn't have an explicite verb, but I translated it with a verb in Finnish, anyway, if it's to be rejected, it's OK for me.
So, my question for Lilian: "Bom dia!" is "Good morning!", or more like "Good day (afternoon)!" ? (and if possibly a bridge for Donna to know if my translation is OK and evaluate it)
In Finnish there are four greetings: Huomenta! - Good morning!, Päivää! - Good day (afternoon)!, Iltaa! - Good evening! and Hyvää yötä! - Good night!
Thank you both very much!
I translated it in summer and originally I put "hyvin" instead of "kunnossa", then I changed my mind to "kunnossa".CC: lilian canale Donna22 | | | 2011年 二月 8日 12:37 | | | <Bridge>
"Hi! Good morning, is everything all right with you? " | | | 2011年 二月 9日 05:00 | | | Hello! Good morning, are you all right?
Hei! Hyvää huomenta. Onko kaikki kunnossa?

Here are two ways to say it.
"Onko sinulla kaikki kunnossa?" - It's not a good way to say it in Finnish. Man can understand it, but it sounds a bit strange. As in Italian we don't use that much I, you, she...because they are not needed. Verbs show the person... | | | 2011年 二月 9日 17:24 | | | Thank you, Donna. I edited the translation. CC: Donna22 |
