| | | 2011年 1月 2日 18:55 | | | Hi maki_sinja
I edited the text but I couldn't understand the word "yanuari", probably it means "January", so I used its Turkish name.
By the way, thank you merdogan for your suggestion | | | 2011年 1月 2日 20:30 | | | Thank you both | | | 2011年 1月 5日 17:15 | | | Hi again Bilge
Could you help me evaluate this translation please? The Dutch translation says
Hello,
I'm very glad / happy you have sent me a text message (by phone). I couldn't come. It turns out they are open on 1 January. I will go there to work, but if you want, we can go there together. xxx
(words between brackets are my clarifications, they are not in the translation.)
Is that ok?
Thank you | | | 2011年 1月 5日 17:23 | | | | | | 2011年 1月 5日 17:28 | | | | | | 2011年 1月 5日 20:42 | | | Hi again I have hanged the translation a little bit. It looks better but my only hesitation is about the verb "to turn out". I translated it into Turkish as if it was "I learnt that they are open..." I searched this verb in dictionnary and I think the two sentences are similar according to their meanings. Is it OK? | | | 2011年 1月 6日 11:16 | | |
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Did you change the Turkish text? That was the original
I don't think you changed the translation (the Dutch text).
'they turned out to be' is something like 'I discovered they were', so 'I learnt that they are' is ok.
If you did change the Turkish text, could you change it back? Do you remember what it was like before you edited? | | | 2011年 1月 6日 11:16 | | | | | | 2011年 1月 7日 21:09 | | | Hahahah so sorry I have changed it back, it's OK now. Besides, the meaning doesn't change and I think Dutch translation is OK too, according to your bridge. |
