Kanske kommer jag en dag berätta för dig | | Bridge: Maybe one day I will tell you.
"Esternerò" is really not so used in spoken language (it's kind of rethorical). |

最新記事 | | | | | 2007年 12月 2日 17:51 | | | xini,
It does not sound exactly right here in your translation:
Kanske en dag jag kommer att säga dig
I would prefer:
Kanske kommer jag en dag berätta för dig
Do you agree? | | | 2007年 12月 2日 22:06 | | | All that you say is Bible for me.
I edited, but the work is yours...
By the way, there is a rule to know when I have to invert the Subject and Verb order?
Jag kommer => Kommer Jag | | | 2007年 12月 3日 07:17 | | | Hm...you ask 'tricky' questions ![](../images/emo/smile.png) it realy depends on..
If you are going to do 'something',
ex: I'm going to catch the bus, that will be:
Jag kommer att... (Subject first)
If you ask as a question the verb has to be first:
kommer du ta bussen...
did that help? | | | 2007年 12月 3日 08:34 | | | Hm...I know the order has to be switched in question, like in English.
But why should I say:
Kanske kommer jag en dag berätta för dig
And not
Kanske jag kommer en dag berätta för dig
which is the normal Subject-Verb-Object structure?
? | | | 2007年 12月 3日 09:41 | | | I really don't have an answer Xini, I don't know the normal Subject-Verb-Object structure. It just doesn't sound good to say: Kanske jag kommer en dag
It sounds (like you always say here on cucumis ![](../images/emo/smile.png) )
'a bit awkward', not good!
I can't explain it to you...I wish I was a teacher or someone, you know a person that deal with swedish in daily life...as I told you, I am just a native swede, NOT particular educated in swedish
Xini, I think maybe Figge2001 knows this 'rules' and are able to explain (?) he seems to be a very GOOD translator.
See ya!
Pia | | | 2007年 12月 3日 09:19 | | | Yes, I know Mats, he was the first to introduce me to Swedish...too bad he has not enough time to access this site regularly
Anyway no problem
| | | 2007年 12月 3日 13:37 | | | Oh..You know him, I don't, but I can see now (when a lot of Swedish translations are in the 'poll') that he really has many good ideas
I know he has been asked to do the 'expert-thing', but he has said no ... ![](../images/emo/frown.png) that is really sad...since I think he could do a great job. But we have to accept his decision. Now...I really doubt if it was the best thing of me to accept this...I LIKE IT ![](../images/emo/smile.png) (it's not that) but...the job that has to be done is much more than I could imagine ![](../images/emo/smile.png) Great anyway if...there would be more swedish experts...we REALLY need them, so many translations waiting...
Btw: I can see that we acctually got one moore Swe.exp. but I have never seen him log in, since I became a member in September, do you know him?
Have a nice day Xini,
Pia | | | 2007年 12月 3日 12:41 | | | Yes, rchk, he quitted after a short time, I haven't seen him "getting around much anymore" (quoting a famous jazz standard). I didn't deal with him so much.
| | | 2007年 12月 8日 10:14 | | | Pia,
could you please check this one?
I think it's ok.. CC: Piagabriella | | | 2007年 12月 9日 20:47 | | | Hej Pia!
I would prefer to put an "att" in front of "berätta". (But it is not absolutely necessary, of course). I think it sounds good now! (Jag skulle godkänna den!)
Xini, on this webpage under "grammar" and then "wordorder" there is a couple of examples that maybe could help you (?): http://www.nordiska.su.se/komloss/
Piagabriella | | | 2007年 12月 9日 20:57 | | | Ok, then I'll accept this one now. ![](../images/emo/smile.png) | | | 2007年 12月 9日 21:23 | | | Pia2, what a great site!
Too bad is 70% "under construction".
But the online part is very helpful! ![](../images/emo/wink.png) thank you! |
