two questions please to you, my dear friends; though it says meaning only, has there been a word about heidrun in the source? And: when it comes up to translations in your own native language, may i correct you including grammatical mistakes and probably a little less according to the meaning of the source?
thank you so much my dear friends - for all your understanding and help..... | | | 22 liepa 2009 12:31 | | LeinŽinučių kiekis: 3389 | Hi kopcologne,
If the requester is happy with your translation, you have done a good job and helped her, that's brilliant so well done! The reason we are trying to get the translation even more accurate is that it will stay on the website and we don't want there to be less than perfect translations to be here, if we can avoid it.
About heidrun: there is nothing about her in the source text; it is the real name of one of the German experts (screen name iamfromaustria) who is being asked to help out
You can always give you opinion and suggestions about translations even if someone has translated into their native language and it will be much appreciated! Sometimes the translator or the expert who has to validate a text may not agree but your input will certainly be welcome!
Welcome to cucumis!
Then about the text: It won't really change the meaning of course, but I reckon it would be more accurate to say 'it is something that was very dear to me, ...' | | | 23 liepa 2009 02:07 | | | thank you very much for your comment.
for sure the system is correct if it allows translations to be corrected. on the other hand you will understand it definitely is not very motivating for a translator who should know at least his own native language; and it might as well cause irritations to future readers.
nevertheless i shall be happy if you are.
greetings, kopcologne | | | 23 liepa 2009 15:13 | | | Salvo, could you help us? CC: italo07 | | | 23 liepa 2009 18:01 | | | I hope my bridge helps :
There is something which mean a lot to me and won't exist anymore then...
What would you ( "usted" ) do in my stead? | | | 26 liepa 2009 09:54 | | | Lily, in the German text is no "but" (=aber). |
