Most people, upon seeing it, spit 3 times over their left shoulder, or bypass that place, or pass it facing backwards, holding their button. Another superstition people believe in, is knocking on wood, having said something unacceptable and undesirable to happen, one knocks on a wooden object 3 times, then it is believed to have been avoided. The last superstition I would like to mention is the breaking of a mirror. When this happens, it is taken as a sign of a seven-year-suffering.
