| | I can translate this one but I'm not sure if it is ok to say to someone in Italian "My little cow". It has some cute meaning in Serbian, but... |

| appleNombre de missatges: 972 | Little cow in Italian (piccola vacca) should really sound as an offense said to a girl !
What's the "affective" meaning of the word?
|
| | 23 Maig 2007 15:25 |
| | It really has no meaning at all. We call each other with that animal names with no sense. Literal translation is "I want only you my little cow! Forever" |
| | 23 Maig 2007 15:55 |
| appleNombre de missatges: 972 | Well, we do too. But some animal is felt as "tender" as someone is not. But it depends. Vacca is felt more or less like "bitch" in English, but if you use "vitellina" (little female calf), for example, it is not rude, though it is not usual.
By the way, is this the only reason you asked for an administrator to check it? |
| | 23 Maig 2007 16:01 |
| | Yeah, sorry if I didn't suppose to do that. Do you think I should leave this translation open? |
| | 23 Maig 2007 16:19 |
| appleNombre de missatges: 972 | Yes, I do. You can do the translation yourself, of course, but one is not supposed to click on "administrator control" for a reason like that. it is supposed for being used when the source language has the wrong flag or there are some spelling mistakes or it is a text that has already been translated or etc. etc.....but not for translation problems!!! |
| | 23 Maig 2007 16:34 |
| | We don't need a literal translation... So essentially my suggestion is:
Ti amo piccolina mia! Per sempre!
A note may be useful
krava = cow = vacca
kraviche (lit. little cow = piccola vacca)= fig. little girl, piccolina.

| | Cinderella , I can understand only some words from your comment. Could you say that in English please? |

| appleNombre de missatges: 972 | Pirulito, could you please leave suggestions about Italian expressions to Italian speaking people? |
