Je suis d'accord, "Spliter" n'est pas français et je doute que ce mot soit compris par quiconque sans un contexte clair dans le texte. Dans le jargon télé, un "split-screen" est la démultiplication des images pendant un générique de fin, pour insérer l'image d'un sponsor, sans masquer pour autant le générique. Par déduction, je suppose que "Spliter" correspondrait en effet à "cuartear"

No tengo la menor idea de lo que quiere decir el original con "les télés splitent", y por tanto no sé cómo traducirlo, tampoco creo que el concepto de "split-screen" sea a lo que se refiere el texto. Vamos a necesitar más contexto para poder dilucidar esto.

Well, sorry but I don't know where this word comes from. Well I guess it comes from English, but that's all, so if one refers to its meaning in English it could mean the TV Implose (and the context also can help about what could happen to a TV with an electromagnetic shock)...

Sorry that's all I can say about, I've been searching "spliter" without any result that would help us.

I have no idea... that's why I uploaded this text here. When I arrive home (I'm at university right now ) I'll put more context in a message, but I don't think it will be helpful; it's just a list of problems that "l'onde de choc électromagnétique" causes.

I think the clue is thinking what damages can be caused by this kind of phenomenon.

je mettrais plutôt:
les télés se fracassent ou explosent.

je mettrais que les télévisions se brouillent.
(se dit quand les images se superposent,ou tremblent)
