Remarks about the translation	The baccalaurÃ©at often known in France colloquially as le bac, is an academic qualification which French and international students sit at the end of the lycÃ©e or high school. It is the main diploma required to follow universitary studies. There's an equivalent in Great Britain (A-level) and in many other countries in the world. It is a typical french thing, and there's no translation for it.

	MÃ¥ddie Number of messages: 1285	I guess we took the term from French. The words look alike. It's funny, but after 'bac' I had the same feelings. I didn't like math at all, and I was so glaaad to get rid of it Madeleine
