And even if it's hard to believe sometime, there were actually some people that differed from the multitude, people who instead of torturing them, tried everything that was in their power to help and save them. This is awkward in English and needs more work, not in terms of translation, but in terms of a more flowing English. "guess that we have all heard how one tortured..." is terrible. it would be better to say guess that we have all heard how the jews were tortured...and so on. | | |
