Just checking to make sure I understand what you mean - does this imply the fans of Engin Akyürek are very determined and the speaker is just as determined / persistent / stubborn?

I think the fans of Engin Akyürek are mocked here. The fact that Akyürek hasn’t what it takes to be a celebrity(according to the speaker) and his fans are very determined to love him make the speaker very amazed.

This is what I understand.

but merdogan's comment makes sense to me
