| | Hi, Aneta
My English is not perfect and it's confusing, I think it is:
"What will you receive/get from us, with your heart (following your heart)?"
But I'm not sure, let's ask, Lilian
@Lilian could you help us?

| | Lilly, can I have a final version of the bridge here, please. |

| | That version in your post of October 30th is correct |
| | 19 November 2009 13:31 |
| | Thank you, Lilly.
Goncin, the bridge is: What will you receive/get from us, with your heart (following your heart)?
Your translation is: Quisne nostri cor tuum percipiet?" - Will anybody of us understand/get your heart? (with one mistake in it, because "nostri" should be "nostrum" - so called genetivus partitivus).
Anyway, it is quite different sentence than the bridge is. Could you explain it? Is the original sentence some kind of idiom? |

| | Aneta,
La signifo de la teksto estas "Kiu el ni gajnos vian koron? (vi -> 2a persono de la singularo)". Kio krom "nostri" estas erara? |
| | 19 November 2009 13:47 |
| | No, I meant this bridge:
"Which of us will win your heart?" |
| | 19 November 2009 15:06 |
| | Wow! So I was right?
Jes, mia kara. Mi estas absolute certa, ke "nostri" estas erara...
Quis nostr um |
| | 19 November 2009 15:09 |
| | Korektita.
Eble vi komprenis min malbone. Estas ĉar "krom" havas du signifojn en Esperanto, ambaŠ"escepte" kaj "io plu ol". Kaj mi volis diri la duan... |
| | 19 November 2009 15:16 |
| | Ne ambaÅ "escepte". Non in this case... When you have "quis"(or another pronoun) or some numeral before, you have to use the second form of genetive for "nos"
for example:
unus nostrum - One of us
omnis nostrum - every of us
quis nostrum - who of us, etc...
Don't you really believe me???
|
| | 19 November 2009 15:22 |
| | Well I say about classical Latin... You're right that the forms like "quis nostri" were used, but they are not too correct... |
| | 19 November 2009 16:48 |
| | Aneta,
I wasn't doubting on you. I just wanted to know if anything else (apart from that 'nostri') was wrong... |
| | 19 November 2009 18:00 |
| | Nun mi komprendas! Mi Äojas! Jes, nun la traduko estas Äusta.
Ne koleru, sed mi ĉiam lernas Esperanton. Eble pro tio, mi ne komprendis vin. Sed mi deziras lerni… kaj mi kalkulas je via helpo... |
