The language in the source text is not reflected in the english translation. It is understoodable but suboptimal. I don´t find the english "rythm" that should be present from such an easy danish text.

The translation is quite good but miss some 'nuances'. A better translation would be as follows:
"Hi..
Happy birthday my treasure.. I hope that you get a great day and that you will enjoy it to its fullest extent here in Holland..
I want you to know that I love you and cannot imagine myself a life without you.. I hope the gifts will make you happy...
Love, Stine"

wkn's translation is in perfect English, but yours has several flaws, figge2001:

1) "you get a great day" is not English
2) If you say, "you will enjoy it to its fullest extent", an English speaker would ask, "What is 'it'"?
3) "imagine myself" is not English

Porfyhr and figge2001, thanks for trying to help, but when I ask for help, I'm only asking whether the translation is true to the source text, not whether the English is correct - that's where I'm an expert.
